Security Policy

FidSafe® employs extensive data, access, and other information security measures to protect your electronic files. Below, please find the FidSafe® Security Policy that details some of these measures. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

FidSafe Security Policy

To protect your electronic files, FidSafe employs physical, electronic, and procedural controls, adapting them as technology and new threats evolve. FidSafe also requires its third party vendors to employ similar physical, electronic and procedural controls. The security measures are designed specifically to protect your electronic files regardless of how you access them — on a computer or on a mobile device. We want your access to be secure as well as convenient. Although we cannot disclose all of our security tactics, here are just a few of the measures we take.

Implementing email verification and password requirements

When you register for access to FidSafe, you must provide a unique email address and then verify that email address. In addition, you must create a secure secret password, allowing you safe and secure access to your files. We have proprietary monitoring and other protective procedures in place, some of which are visible to customers, such as limits on password entry attempts.

Customer verification

No matter how you contact FidSafe, we verify your identity before granting you access to your FidSafe account.

Multifactor security PINs

If you try to log in from a computer we don’t recognize, we may ask you to provide a one-time security PIN that is sent to your previously registered mobile device via SMS or to your previously registered phone via recorded message. This helps us ensure that it is really you accessing your account.

Strong encryption

Some of the strongest methods of encryption commercially available today are employed to protect your personal information, like your username and password or your electronic files, as they travel from your computer to FidSafe’s systems. In addition, the files that are stored in FidSafe systems are also strongly encrypted.

Firewalls

Firewalls or other electronic barriers are also in place to prevent unauthorized access to the FidSafe networks.

Virus protection

When you upload a file to FidSafe, it is scanned for viruses and other malware. Use of FidSafe may provide you access to special offers with leading virus scan vendors, helping you protect your computer. The software is easy to install and runs in the background without slowing down your computer.

Secure email

When we use email to communicate with you, we use a technology that enables us to digitally sign our messages so that our customers can verify that the messages have not been forged or altered.

Timed logoff

FidSafe automatically logs you off after an extended period of inactivity. This reduces the risk that others could access your information from your unattended account.

Systems surveillance

The security systems are designed to monitor FidSafe around the clock to provide you with timely and secure access to your account.

Restricted access to customer data

Just as physical access to work areas is limited, access to systems containing customer electronic files is also restricted and closely monitored.

Employee education

Our employees receive thorough training on security practices and are held accountable for adhering to them. Employees who work directly with customers also receive training on emerging risks, such as identity theft.
